Ever since Chuck had become the Intersect, there had been no normal days at the Buy More. The information in his head either caused trouble or informed him when trouble had come to roost in his backyard.

The first flash Chuck had this time had been for the African-American, Alec Hardison, Hacker. Hardison had collected a stack of laptops and cell phones; 5 each of various sizes and styles. He also gathered up seemingly random pieces of electronics that Chuck considered and then concluded that the man would be using to hack a military base.

Chuck had been looking around the store for Casey and had found him growling at a pretty blonde who wanted pink rubber duckies. Chuck stumbled back into a DVD display because of her flash: thief and explosives expert. She went by the name ‘Parker.’

Thankfully neither one was a killer.

Casey wasn’t as observant as Sarah about the flashes, but he had been kinda obvious. Casey wasn’t nearly as kind as Sarah about getting Chuck out of view and to somewhere they could talk. Chuck hoped that he wouldn’t have a bruise on his arm tomorrow.

“What did you see?” Casey asked as they walked between the large screen TVs and the video cameras.

“Your customer is a thief and she likes explosions. The tall brother at the cash register is a hacker. Both of them are top of the game in their field. Neither of them has ever killed.”

Casey was looking for the hacker when he stilled. “You can’t say the same for their friend.”

Chuck turned toward the cash registers and quickly identified Parker and Hardison. He flashed on the third person in their party, Eliot Spencer. Spencer had killed, but the government seemed to think he only killed the ‘correct’ people. He had saved several of their soldiers. Then Chuck flashed on the reason Casey could identify him. “You had the same sensei.”

“He learned everything the sensei had to teach quicker than anyone before.”

“So what are we going to do?”

Casey dragged Chuck to the locker room. “You are going to hide in the Castle until they are gone.”

“But, but, but…” Chuck’s protestations fell on deaf ears. He was shoved into the secret passage and the door locked behind him.

eliot, yes. Parker? could go either way depending on how she felt. Hardison? would think it was the coolest thing ever!
